We are a home based personal training service based out of New York City. We give you the convenience of a great workout in the comfort of your own home. We are here to motivate and educate you while making your workout enjoyable. You can be confident that you are working with a professional who will help you set realistic goals and prescribe movements that will maximize your potential gains while minimizing the risk of injury.

Our philosophy is simple  – PREVENTION through EDUCATION. We’re not doctors nor do we claim to be, but we have a prescription that’s better than any medicine out there – exercise. That’s our specialty. We prescribe exercise according to each individuals needs, objectives, and their short and long term goals. Our trainers and instructors are here to motivate and educate. Our mission is to change this society one person at a time.

Personal Message from our Founder
Growing up as a fat kid with asthma, the last thing I thought I would end up doing would be personal training. I remember how it felt to feel weak and helpless. I remember when I used to get asthma attacks and it felt like I was breathing through a cocktail straw. I used to watch the other kids play and I wished I could do the same. When I was about 12 years old and I grew a little stronger, I noticed something – the more I moved the better I felt. Believe me, it wasn’t overnight, but with time, the asthma attacks grew further and further away until they were gone.

Now when I’m feeling down I remember how it felt not to be able to breathe and I can stop inhale, feel the oxygen fill my lungs and I feel better already. Now, I’ve never been a pro athlete or a bodybuilder and I’m not a famous actor. I’m just a guy who chose to get in really good shape and I discovered my calling. After spending 10 years of my life working in the banking industry and watching 3 of the men in my family and 2 coworkers suffer from heart attacks, I had an awakening. I want to help people. I want to help as many people as I possibly can! Short, tall, fat, skinny, old, young, male or female. Now I know I can’t do it alone and I know it won’t happen overnight, but every person counts and I’m going to help as many people as I possibly can to live longer, look better, have more confidence, be stronger, and have a better quality of life.

I have spent the last 10 years of my life educating myself on how to drastically decrease the risk of things such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis. I kept coming back to the same answers. Eating healthy and exercising drastically decreases the risk of all of these things. It became clear to me that the best weapon against disease is prevention. Why wait until it’s too late. Besides disease prevention, why else should we exercise? How about body fat reduction, increased muscle strength, increased flexibility, increased bone density, increased lung capacity, better glucose regulation, better muscle tone, and more energy? If none of this convinces you to eat healthier and live a more active lifestyle, then how about just being proud of what you see when you look in the mirror. We all deserve to walk with confidence and be proud of how we look and feel. Many people might say the answer is in a pill, surgery or those crazy diets out there, but it’s not. It’s in living a disciplined lifestyle. I know it’s not easy. If it were, 41 percent of people wouldn’t be dying of cardiovascular disease, and 70 percent of our society wouldn’t be overweight, but there is help available.

We’re here to motivate and educate as much as we can. We want to fight obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and so much more. I dream of a society where we eat nutritious foods… where our kids go outside and play instead of sit in front of a TV or computer for hours each day… where our elderly are living longer with a better quality of life, not in a home or dependent on a bunch of pills… where we all just live healthier, happier lives.

Jason Rodriguez, AAPT, NSCA-CPT

After receiving his B.S. in  Economics and Business Administration from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Jason spent 10 years working in the financial services industry. While working as a banker, he began his own personal journey towards becoming a health and fitness expert. Shortly after he graduated from the nationally recognized American Academy of Personal Training and taking courses covering the subjects of maternal fitness, extensive home training, training children, and family nutrition, he did extensive research and came to the realization that only 14 percent of the population has a gym membership and an even smaller percentage of people actually go. This is what inspired him to start Fitness Journeys – His mission is to have the greatest impact on our society by training people where they are most comfortable – in their own homes.
